Game-A-Thon 2019 Extra Life Fundraiser Results

Happy 2020! Happy New Year!

Okay, so, we’re a little late on the Happy New Year. We’ve needed the month of January to recover from the holiday hangover—but as of now, we’re back in action and we’re ready for an exciting new year of content! We hope you all had amazing holidays, and we hope your 2019 ended on a positive note—and if it didn’t, don’t worry, you get a fresh new year to try again!

We know our 2019 ended on a positive note, thanks in part to our friends, family, and fellow gamers who helped us exceed our goal for 2019’s Game-A-Thon charity stream. For our first post of 2020, it only felt appropriate to report to you the final results of our charity stream, and to thank each and every one of you who donated.

2019’s Game-A-Thon Holiday Charity Stream via Twitch lasted a staggering 10+ hours, during which 4 pizzas, 2 boxes of wings, a helping of cinnamon buns, handfuls of chips, and several gallons of soda were consumed.

We managed to raise an impressive $406 in total for the Extra Life Foundation, and all of that money was directly donated to our respective children’s hospitals of choice in the Children’s Miracle Network. This is an impressive $40+ dollar increase from 2018’s charity stream, and we can not express our gratitude enough. Thank you to everyone who donated! Your contribution is going toward a great cause that we’ll continue to support in the future. We could not have done this without you, and can’t wait to do this all again at the end of 2020. We’re also considering doing more smaller-scale charity streams throughout the year, so stay tuned for possible updates on that.

If you missed out on the stream, we’ll post it below for your viewing pleasure:

Thank you so much for your kind donations, and for your continued support. We can’t wait to see what the new year has in store for us!

Love,

The Couch Bandits
