This year, we held the Couch Bandits’ annual charity stream, Game-A-Thon, a bit earlier than usual due to the strange circumstances of 2020. It’s been a stressful, uncertain, and scary year for many, but we still wanted to get together and give back to the institutions and people who need it most: hospitals, healthcare workers, and patients.
We teamed up with Extra Life to host a virtual Twitch stream, aiming to raise money for our local children’s hospitals, and we’d love to extend a huge thanks to our friends, family, and fellow gamers who helped us exceed our goal for 2020’s Game-A-Thon.
This year’s Game-A-Thon lasted a staggering 8+ hours, during which 6 pizzas were consumed, and we managed to raise an impressive $455 for the Extra Life Foundation. All of that money was directly donated to our respective children’s hospitals of choice in the Children’s Miracle Network. This is an almost $50 dollar increase from 2019’s charity stream, and we can not express our gratitude enough.
Thank you to everyone who donated! Your contribution is going toward a great cause that we’ll continue to support in the future. We could not have done this without you and can’t wait to do this all again at the end of 2021.
